Similarly podcasts are catching on due to the portable MP3 players that are just the best way to get targeted traffic and that too for free. 3. You are trying to build brand value so make sure that you first establish your brand in the market. One thing that you can do is buy multiple domains with different extensions. may already own a domain for example abc.com but why not have mirror sites like abc.net, abc.biz etc, this will help you to build your name in the online market. After all, you don't want your competition getting the same domain name would you?

4. Run some affiliate programs. These are very popular ways to promote your site. You can offer your affiliates discounts or freebies like e-books etc so more people would want to link to your site and popularity gets you more targeted traffic. You can also give a gentle nudge to your visitors to promote your site by installing a simple code on your site that says "Refer Our Web Site To A Friend" or "Link To Our Web Site", which is a freely available on the internet and your visitor can share your link with just a single click.


5. In the same vein as above there are many social bookmarking sites that are the rage that you can join and share your links with others and also get your site noticed. Adding the button to your site means others of that social bookmarking site can add you to their list.
